A Quiet week

Shhh... Kaleb's sleeping! Under his quilt Granny made him!! :)

It's been a quiet 1st week home. He went to the doctor on Monday- just for a follow-up from the hospital. He was born weighing 9.7 lbs and when released on Sat he had lost to 8.14. By monday he had gained an oz and a half and was up to 8.15+. He saw his new pediatrician on Friday and when they weighed him in he was a whopping 9.9 lbs and 21.5 inches! He is growing and eating well. She was very pleased with him, she agreed he is beautiful!! He has a slightly stuffy nose, so does Brandy, but she seems to be getting better. The doctor showed her how to relieve his congestion with the bulb syringe, he didn't like it, but it sure helped.
We went over to Grandma Bea's for dinner one night, good to have time with the family.
Logan went back to work on Wed, and I have been over each day to visit and help out. It has been a really quiet week.

But that was nice... just holding Kaleb and visiting with Brandy till Logan got home from work, we'd eat dinner, clean up and then I would leave, they need some private time! I'm sure gonna miss them!

In the evenings, I had a chance to show Tonya a few more sewing tricks... She made this beautiful chenille scarf, which she wears all the time- SHE LOVES IT!! She will probably make more for her girls.

I showed her how to paper piece using some scraps she had. This is her 1st attempt- not bad..

She made this lovely quilt for a friend who is expecting- not sure of the sex so she made it unisex. She had never made a "Shuffle the Deck" quilt and really enjoyed it. I see more in her future.

She made these little zippered bags after I showed her how. She has ideas to make more for her Grandbabies. Too cute!

This is Tonya's 4 PSP quilt. It was her first and she did a wonderful job on it. She didn't really like the original fabric- too many flowers, but it twirled beautifully and she is thrilled with the outcome. I will take it home and quilt it on LuLu for her. Beautiful job!! ... We have been sewing up a storm. It's nice to have someone who enjoys sewing like I do...

But for breakfast she made pancakes and what a surprise when she flipped it over!!!

Smile!!
Later Darlin'
