Things for this week:

One of Neo-Man's co-workers John found out he has cancer at 42. All over...it's easier to just say that. It is spread throughout and he will start treatments soon- he is recovering from surgery to remove part of his colon and the infection from that....
He is a huge sports fan- football, baseball, basketball, whatever... he likes to gamble a little and he is an EMT/Firefighter.
So this is the quilt I made for him to use as he has his treatments.
I called it "Believing and having Faith" The fabrics used represent things in our lives that require believing in something- having faith and are challenging. It has every NFL team on it plus some college and NBA and then various sports and cards and such.
Neo-Man is getting all the firemen and friends to sign it for John. We will take it over to him this week.

Here is a close up of some of the fabrics.

I think John will really like this.

So needless to say- I ain't going nowhere this week- I am needed here.....

I am very sorry for your friend. We recently had a fire truck stop here in Tucson that is trying to raise awareness about the fact that firefighters suffer cancer at a way, way, higher rate than the reast of America. This truck is going cross-county, look for it in your area.

Lori, do you think John would try some Graviola? It, very possibly, could be a big help to him.

My prayers are with him, for what they are putting his body through next. It's a tough, long road.... That is a very beautiful, thought-full quilt. Very good job, sweetie.
