Drum roll please

This was my front flower bed..... BEFORE

Photobucket

And after many sweaty days and some $$$ and more importantly- help from friends & with the sprinkler system
here is my new BEAUTIFUL flower beds- I have lots of flowering areas.

Here is a closer look at the flowers out front

and the little bed out front.

This is out by the street- we won't put flowers under this cedar tree- not many grow well here. It just looks nicer with the mulch.... and we had left overs :)

Photobucket

and this is the bed on the side of the house along the driveway... it had a few irises in it and just wildflowers
next year we will plant this better because it gets full sun.

now to the backyard.
This is some old pots & pans I planted in- these are by the back door. Yep- that's my lettuce growing.

Photobucket

This is a clematis that has been on this pole since we moved in- 17yrs ago. It always did well... alone- only a birdbath beside it. Now there is a flowerbed with a sprinkler and flowers... Over by the grill I have flowers growing and out by the new flagpole there are flowers. You can barely see my tomatoes in the "nursery garden"
where we have squash, tomatoes and some flowers that were left overs...

Photobucket

Over along the driveway we had this wild trumpet vine... so Neo-Man put up this lattice for it to grow up on and hung some flower baskets. We have alot of hummingbirds around here.

Photobucket

BUT of all my new flower beds... this view is my favorite.
I missed having my American flag flying and I REALLY missed having my Texas flag!
Makes me smile each time!!!

So this is my new look at my little plot on this earth.... I LOVE IT!!!
Later Darlin'

What beautiful flower beds you have created. I especially like how you extended the front to include the tree area.

Wowser! That is a lot of work but the best part of it is already showing... Good work!

Lori, call me? Let me know that you are going to join us, for the Maine Quilt show.

Kids and kidz and dogs are trekking out next Fri., for a year's journey. Gonna be quiet here, that's for sure. I miss them, massively, already.
